The cause

Vision Australia is a leading national provider of blindness and low vision services. They work with Australians who are blind or have low vision, helping them live the life they choose.

The brief

To design a brand identity for a new community fundraising event: Vision Australia’s Santa Fun Run. The event challenges participants to jog or walk the 3.8km track around the iconic Tan Track at the Royal Botanical Garden in Melbourne. The event aims to spread Christmas spirit while raising funds for children’s services at Vision Australia.

The Challenge

Develop a brand identity that is visually engaging and distinctive that communicates the festive nature of the event and sits cohesively with the Vision Australia branding.

Our strategy

To capture the essence of the Santa Fun Run, we developed a brand that resonates with both participants and spectators. It is an identity that encompass community, Christmas spirit, inclusion, fitness, and movement. The identity showcases a custom playful font with design elements that brings joy and energy to the event. We developed a suite of assets for the brand, including print collateral, digital applications, outdoor signage and merchandise.

The results

The client was extremely happy with the results of the new brand and based on the success of the Melbourne Fun Run, they are now looking at expanding to other states.
